And just like that, this is my panultimate Racketball report for the 2024/2025 season!
In week 20, our 57's took on the daunting task away at LCC. Luke Mercer playing one and Andrew Breen playing two, it was always going to be a tough night. Mike Corran managed to take a game from Andrew Breen whilst Seb Gardiner and Roy Finney also took games at four and five. LCC win 20-4.
Variety faced yet another tough fixture, hosting Xavariens. Dan Parker recording a terrific win against a diffuclut Nick Jones. Well done Dan!. Xavs win 17-3.
Week 21 should have seen Racketeers host former Village Mixed side, but they conceded the game. This left our 57's to take centre stage yet again, travelling away to Neston 1. Bob Mc flew in from Spain, just in time to play!
Seb Gardiner opened up, beating Steve Mercell 3-1. Paul Grannon then followed with 5 games against a lively Carl Hulme, coming out as the winner. Ged Clark then dismissed Andy Watson 3-0. No sign of any jet lag for Bob Mc as he beat Andy Hurst 3-1. This left Tom Clark to play Greame Le-Swain for a full house. Tom delivererd just that to give Heswall 57's a very good 20-4 win over Neston 1. That leaves our 57's just 6 points behind Neston 1 with just one round of fixtures to go!

Next week we have all three Heswall Racketball teams at home. Variety host Racketeers and our 57's host Crosby. We will be having food and our end of season trophies after the games.
